Police: Woman made up kidnapping story

A woman who told police she escaped a harrowing kidnapping attempt this weekend made up the story to get back at a man who refused to pay her for sex, police said Monday. Cheryl Dellairo, 22, of Schenectady, claimed 27-year-old Divard Thompson forced her inside his Jeep on Friday before she grabbed control of the steering wheel and jumped from the car.
