Pedophile who faked his death convicted

A South Carolina man who cut out his pacemaker as part of an attempt to fake his own death earlier this year was convicted of the sexual assault charges authorities said he was trying to evade. Former prison guard Steve Lukowich had been accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 1998 and 1999.
