New Jersey man charged in sex abuse of dog

A Perth Amboy, New Jersey man has been charged with six counts of animal cruelty for sodomizing his neighbor's dog several times over the past year. Jose Rodriguez, 39, was caught by police with his pants down, straddling the dog last month after her owner called for help. Authorities were unsure at first how to charge Rodriguez since the state no longer has any laws against bestiality or sodomy.
