Fla. Senate bill aims to curb lewdness

The Florida Senate is set to vote on a bill that would allow police to arrest anyone whose public conduct is lewd or lascivious, by normal community standards. The bill is aimed at lap dancing and "swing" clubs, where people engage in actual or simulated sexual activities, but Sen. Evelyn Lynn, R-Ormond Beach, said such a standard might result in arrests of thousands of college students during spring break at Florida beaches.
