FCC fires new volleys in indecency wars

The Federal Communications Commission on Thursday broadened its attack on airwave indecency, reversing a ruling on Irish pop singer Bono's use of the F-word at the 2003 Golden Globe awards and nailing Infinity Broadcasting and Clear Channel with big fines for airing radio shows that featured explicit sexual content. One of those shows was a Howard Stern broadcast.
