Charges dropped in gay marriage case

The Ulster County District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday that it's dropping criminal charges against New Paltz, New York mayor Jason West, ending more than a year of legal wrangling that began in February 2004 when West presided over the weddings of two dozen same-sex couples. West has been legally barred from performing any more same-sex weddings.
