Boy in sex case loses discrimination claim

A British teenager convicted for having underage sex with a girl of the same age lost an appeal that claimed he was discriminated against by the 1956 Sexual Offences Act, which treats underage females as victims, even if they consent to sex. Two High Court judges said it was right that girls should not face prosecution "even if the girls are willing, because they may become pregnant, the boys will not."
