Artists angry as nude deemed too rude
A British artist has censored his own work after managers at an arts center asked him to hide his painting of a male nude. Instead, James Smith, 70, a former geologist who became a sculptor and painter 10 years ago, refused, placing a sign, with the word "censored" over the offending area. "I do feel it is the 21st century now for God's sake," said Smith. "I told them I wasn't going to move it."
